Home of the Scrope family and the place of imprisonment of Mary Queen of Scots for 6 months.Features: Excellent recreated medieval castle gardens – including two separate walled gardens (herb garden and vineyard), formal rose garden, maze, camomile lawn and wildflower meadow. Beautiful views over Wensleydale.
