Dating from 1096, Alnwick is the second largest inhabited castle in the country. It has been the seat of the Perceys, the Earls and Dukes of Northumberland since 1309. Now very recognisable from its role in the Harry Potter films, the castle continues to attract families with a variety of hands on activities for children.
